Wellness Walks

More than exercise—personalized walks supporting your dog’s physical and behavioral well-being. Dog walking, leash skills, sniffing and exploration, calm check-ins, enrichment, and confidence-building. Each walk is shaped around your dog’s individual needs while reinforcing positive habits and helping them return home satisfied, regulated, and ready to relax.

Why Wellness Matters

A good walk supports far more than physical exercise. It gives your dog time to sniff, explore, move comfortably, and experience the world at a pace that helps them feel settled and secure.

Wellness Walks provide dependable one-to-one care when life is busy, while reinforcing calm leash habits, thoughtful check-ins, and positive experiences outdoors.

What Every Walk Includes

  • Movement matched to your dog’s pace
  • Time for sniffing and exploration
  • Calm check-ins and individual attention
  • Safety-focused handling and leash skills
  • Fresh water and rest breaks as needed
  • A photo and brief update after the walk

Every Dog Is Different

Some dogs enjoy a steady neighborhood walk. Others benefit from a slower, scent-focused outing with extra space and time to process their surroundings. Each Wellness Walk is adjusted to your dog’s age, health, mobility, personality, energy level, and comfort outdoors.

The goal is not to cover the most distance. It is to give your dog a safe, satisfying experience that supports regulation, confidence, and overall wellbeing.

Who Wellness Walks Are For

  • Busy professionals and families
  • Puppies needing a midday break
  • Senior dogs needing gentle movement
  • High-energy dogs needing another outlet
  • Dogs who prefer individual attention
  • Dogs building confidence outdoors

If your dog has significant fear, reactivity, mobility concerns, or medical restrictions, we will discuss their needs first and decide whether a Wellness Walk or a more specialized plan is the best fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long are the walks?

Wellness Walks are available in 30-minute and 60-minute sessions. We will choose the length that best suits your dog’s age, energy, mobility, and routine.

Will my dog be walked alone?

Yes. Walks are provided one household at a time so your dog receives individual attention. Dogs from the same household may be walked together when that is comfortable and safe for everyone.

What happens if it rains?

Walks usually continue in light rain with adjustments for comfort and safety. During severe weather or unsafe conditions, we may shorten, reschedule, or adapt the outing.

Can puppies participate?

Yes. Puppy walks are kept age-appropriate and may include short periods of movement, sniffing, bathroom breaks, calm exposure to the neighborhood, and rest.

How will I know how the walk went?

You will receive a brief update and a photo whenever possible. I will also let you know if I notice a change in behavior, mobility, appetite, or general wellbeing.
